Kathleen Bury

Ms. Kathleen Bury is CEO of the Mowgli Foundation. During her time working within and at the helm of Mowgli, Bury helped the team double in size, win three major awards for employment generation (impact), mentoring program quality and mentor network in the Arab Region, as well as expand into eight new countries. This has enabled Mowgli to considerably increase its reach, impact and sustainability.
Prior to joining Mowgli, Bury served as consultant to director of market analysis with Contax Partners, a niche oil and gas consulting and business development company based in the UAE.
Having worked in the UK, Middle East, North Africa, Asia and East Africa, Bury has more than 15 years of experience spanning profit and nonprofit management and strategy development. She has authored leadership and entrepreneurship focused articles in leading international magazines and online communities. Bury is also a founding member of the Entrepreneur Organization (EO) East Africa chapter, a member of the Global Philanthropy Circle, a mentor and mentee, and a proud foster mother of 5 orphaned baby elephants in Kenya.
Bury holds a degree in business from the Nottingham Trent Business School. She has also undertaken a number of Executive Education programs at Columbia Business School, NYU, Wharton University and INSEAD Business School. Also, Bury is trained as a Life Coach through Coaches Training Institute (CTI).
