Thobo Khathola, is the Managing Director of the Company LION TUTORING. A 100% locally owned company that employs over 330 Staff countrywide and regionally. Thobo was recently on the cover of the FORBES Africa Magazine of April 2020 and listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
Thobo completed his AS Levels in Rainbow and was admitted to the University of Pretoria to Study Actuarial Science; however he graduated in Business and Economics.
Lion Tutoring won three awards in 2017, 2018, and 2019 named the Best Youth Owned Business in Botswana ; at The Botswana Youth Awards and The Palapye Business Awards.
The company is based Botswana with Branches in Gaborone, Phakalane, Palapye and Francistown. They also operate in South Africa, Rustenburg and Johannesburg.
Lion Tutoring is looking to take advantage of the 4th Industrial revolution by engaging a world wide audience through their e-commerce platform and Mobile Application. The Lion Tutoring APP works like UBER but for tutors, and has started gaining tractions from the international markets.
Mr Thobo was listed in the Botswana Stock Exchange’s First Publication as one of the Top Youth Entrepreneurs to look out for. The Botswana Youth Mag listed Mr Thobo as the Top 30 Most influential Youth in Botswana. He managed to gain continental ranking by being listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2020, and also covered the April issue.
